Experiencing traumatic events as a child can leave a lasting impact on one’s ability to achieve happiness as an adult. When our needs are not adequately met as children, we learn to believe the untrue messages that “I am not lovable” or “something is wrong with me”. We then make poor choices as adults that recreate the pain, grief and loneliness we experienced as a child.
If this sounds familiar, you are invited to participate in the Understanding Trauma Group.
In this group you will:
Learn about the impact of trauma on your physical, cognitive, and emotional processing system.
Its impact on your self worth, decision making and relationships.
Ways to break negative patterns, develop insight and learn the tools to communicate effectively.
Use critical thinking skills and choose wisely.
Practice self care and thereby enhance quality of life.
